Palestinian youth dies following clashes along the Gaza border

A Palestinian youth was killed during a confrontation with IDF troops along the border with the Gaza strip Tuesday, according to a report in The Jerusalem Post's sister publication Maariv.
Three fires also broke out along the Gaza border, with hundreds of Palestinians burning tires during spats with the IDF.
Firefighters were dispatched to the region. In the fire that broke out in the Gvaram forest, about 120 dunams burned. A fire that broke out in an open area in the Eshkol Regional Council was caused by Molotov cocktails.
The confrontation between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has escalated over recent weeks after a rocket fired from Gaza struck a home in Beersheba Wednesday. Israel carried out air strikes in Gaza in response to the attacks.
Gazans have been protesting for months as part of the demonstrations known as the "Great March of Return."
