A pipe bomb thrown at police in Shuafat on Saturday injured an east Jerusalem resident, Israeli police said.
A police force securing the refugee camp which sits in the northeastern part of the capital, just above Jerusalem's historic Old City, remained largely unharmed after an improvised explosive device detonated near the border they were monitoring .
A resident of the Arab neighborhood – home to 35,000 – was injured in the attack, which police say targeted officers on patrol near the controversial security border.
The bomb exploded near a local mosque, injuring the Arab man who was rushed to the Hadassah University Medical Center on Mount Scopus.
