Clashes in Shuafat
Clashes erupted Wednesday between Palestinians and Israeli security forces in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat, the home of the Palestinian motorist who carried out a deadly terror attack at the capital's light rail earlier in the day.
Hamas operative Ibrahim al-Acri, 38, killed one person and injured 14 others when he rammed his car into pedestrians at two locations along the light rail tracks at around noon on Wednesday.
Dozens of Palestinians threw firebombs and rocks at Border Police officers in Shuafat. Security forces implemented crowd dispersal means to control the situation.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Meanwhile, masked men threw stones and clashed with security forces south of Jerusalem, in Beitar Illit, an Israeli settlement located in the West Bank's Gush Etzion area.
At the same time, in the capital's Old City, two young Arabs sprayed policemen with tear gas before fleeing to the Temple Mount compound, where one the men was arrested.
