We're like particles in an accelerator, condemned to crash into one another."Carmi's new Particle Accelerator asks the question as nine dancers interact in the 'particle accelerator' to music by J.S. Bach, Phillip Glass and Chopin, among others.Carmi established Fresco in 2002, and the company has been based in Holonsince 2006.Particle Accelerator is on a collision course with the Suzanne Dellal Dance Center on February 21 and 22.

Beit Avi Hai examines Israel through filmJerusalem's Beit Avi Hai is launching Fact and Fiction: Diversity Within, a new five-part series of English-language events, all examining Israeli society through the lens of film and discussion, moderated by Amy Kronish.The first session, set for February 8, is entitled A Journey in Search of Identity and will include a screening of the film The Name My Mother Gave Me,a documentary about Russian and Ethiopian teenagers who travel togetherto Ethiopia in search of their roots. Also taking part in thediscussion will be the film's director, Eli Tal-El. Admission to each session costs NIS 30 for adults and NIS 20 for students. A pass for all five sessions costs NIS 120.
