This year's annual Maholohet (Hot Dance) festival will mark the Suzanne Dellal Center's 20th anniversary with eight weeks of 76 performances, including 11 Israeli premieres. Seven soloists from the Paris Opera Ballet will perform as special guests of the festival. Maholohet showcases veteran and young Israeli creators of dance of all types: modern, Eastern, flamenco, experimental and performance art mixed with dance.
When founded 13 years ago, Maholohet ran for three weeks, but its expansion indicates the country's growing love for dance. This year, it will run from
July 1 to August 29 in Tel Aviv.
