For the third consecutive year, pharmaceutical giant Teva is contributing to the arts in the belief that "a healthy company is also a creative company." Eight choreographers, from the well-known to the up and coming, will receive grants, four of them for "creativity and community," in order to boost dance on the periphery. The four are the award-winning Yasmin Godder, Renana Raz, Aviv Ivgi and Arkady Zeides, each of whom will receive NIS 60,000 toward the creation of a new work over the next year - as well as dance activity within the various communities.
Niv Scheinfeld, Oren Laor, Shlomit Fundaminsky, Noa Shadur and Maya Levi will each get NIS 15,000 so that they can devote their time to making dance rather than raising funds. The Independent Choreographers Association provided guidance.
