From the richest to the ritziest, who's the biggest of the big apples?

Outside of Israel, it's still considered impolite to volunteer one's salary. So it wasn't easy for the editors of New York Magazine to compile the voluminous listing of New Yorkers' salaries, from celebrities to commoners.
One local-TV weatherman summed up many opinions when he said, "Oy vey, oy vey, oy vey, oy vey! You know what four oy veys means? It means we don't talk about that kind of thing, and I'm not going to tell you. It's personal."
After some investigation, it was revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker is the richest woman in New York earning a massive $38 million a year as a GAP spokesmodel. The actress, who played shoe-loving Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, tops a new list of the wealthiest females in the big apple. In second place is Kimora Lee Simmons, 30, the woman behind the Baby Phat brand, with an annual pay check of $17 million.
Brazillian catwalk beauty Gisele Bundchen, 25, comes third in the New York magazine salary survey, making an estimated $15.2 million. At the box office, Nicole Kidman, 38, is tops with $15 million. She's trailed by Kirsten Dunst, 23, at $ 8 million and Meryl Streep, 56, at $5 million.
Even writers are cashing in big. Jonathan Safran Foer took home $1 million in 2005 (plus $12,500 per speaking engagement) and Thomas Friedman is making a cool $300,000 from the New York Times (plus $40,000 per speaking engagement).
As incredible as some of these salaries may seem, Mayor Michael Bloomberg takes home a mere $1 for his efforts and Donald Trump Jr., just half a million. Poor kid.
