The SPCA, Tel Aviv, opens its doors for a special Purim event.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Tel Aviv, invites the public to a colorful and happy Purim event, which will take place on Monday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the SPCA at Herzl 159 in Tel Aviv. Admission is free.
Participants will be greeted by the Tzoanay Hamelech troupe of jugglers and clowns from the Katomer workshop, who will present unique street events, magic, acrobatics, juggling and clown performances.
Children can enjoy Jamboree inflatable play centers donated by Idans Company and creativity corners on the subject of animals.
Participants are also invited to tour the Society’s facilities, to visit the large animal corner – and perhaps to go home with a new four-legged friend.
According to Ruth Rubinstein, the spokesperson for the Society, “Our goal is to make both people and animals happy in such a way that during the Purim holiday, more dogs and cats will find warm, loving homes.”
The SPCA has been active for more than 80 years for the welfare of animals. The gates of the Society are open to every animal in need of shelter and protection. Among the services provided at the site are adoption of dogs and cats; a veterinary clinic at subsidized prices; a pet boarding house; rescue and collection of animals in distress; and a department of education and training. The SPCA is also involved in the struggle for animal rights and works to increase public awareness for neutering and spaying with the goal of preventing the overpopulation of unwanted animals.
