DISCOVER A LOST TRIBEArtist Rachel Weitzman brings rare documentation of the women of the Abu Yehudia, an extinct Jewish tribe in Uganda. The artist discovered evidence of the tribe’s existence on a visit to Uganda and was intrigued by the beauty of the women and children of the tribe, which became Jewish in 1919 when a local general decided to establish a Jewish community, teaching them Torah and giving them Hebrew names.
