When the White House (Secret Service Code: “Olympus”) is taken over by a terrorist mastermind and the president is kidnapped, disgraced former presidential guard Mike Banning, trapped inside the White House, uses his inside knowledge to rescue the president. Olympus Has Fallen is an action-thriller starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman.

2. Take the tour
Israeli-born guitarist Assaf Kehati, with fellow Israelis bass player Ehud Etun and drummer Ronen Itzik, pay a visit to their homeland on a 10-day tour of the country, April 2-12, giving seven shows plus a workshop. Concerts are lined up in Jerusalem, Zichron Ya’acov, Haifa, Safed, Jaffa, Mitzpe Ramon and Ramat Hasharon.

3. Be blue
Modern blues guitarist Joe Louis Walker arrives for two concerts next Thursday at Zappa Club Tel Aviv and Friday at Zappa Club Herzliya as part of his world tour promoting his latest album. He will be performing with Israeli blues band Blues Rebels.

4. Take a trip to Oz
Drummer Omar Hakim, pianist Rachel Z and bassist Lukas Curtis of The Trio of Oz will take audiences on a musical tour of jazz, rock and fusion in a concert that is part of Zappa Club’s new jazz series.

5. Remember Jewish history
Four monumental paintings by Moshe Rosenthalis (1922-2008) depicting a visual narrative of the history of the Jewish People are on display for the first time at Beit Hatfutsot – The Museum of the Jewish People. The paintings were commissioned by businessman Saul Eisenberg for the boardroom of Asia House in Tel Aviv (1980) and were never shown publicly.
Also on display are the artist’s preliminary drawings for the paintings.
The works will be on display until the end of July.
6. Get your hopes up
Zubin Mehta, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’s musical director, will conduct the IPO’s upcoming concert with Korean virtuoso pianist Kun Woo Paik on his first visit to Israel. On the program are Pigovat’s Music of Sorrow and Hope, Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4; and Dvorak’s Symphony No. 7.

7. Look into the hole
Ohad Naharin’s latest work for the Batsheva Dance Company, Hor (Hole), was created for and will only be performed at the Varda Studio at the Suzanne Dellal Center, Tel Aviv. The work is presented on and around a unique elevated construction, built on the premises for the performance and will be presented twice every evening.

8. Tour the city of David
Take advantage of the last days of Passover and take the kids to a special tour at Ir David.
The special children’s tour will take them back in time with biblical stories told at the site. The tour includes a 3D presentation.
The 90-minute tour is suitable for children 4-8 accompanied by parents.

9. Discover contemporary classics
The 15th annual Felicja Blumental Chamber six-day Music Festival will open tomorrow at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. The only Tel Aviv chamber music festival, it brings varied programs including vocal music, Baroque, Israeli artists and guitar music as well as music documentaries and programs for the whole family.
