The world premiere of the multimedia show The Golem by Italian composer/conductor Riccardo Joshua Moretti will open this season’s Classics without Boundaries series in Petah Tikva.
The production is the result of cooperation between the municipalities of Petah Tikva and Parma, Italy.
This is the famous story of a creature made of clay that is given life by the Rabbi of Prague. Here the play will be interpreted by Italian dancer Thierry Parmentier (Golem) and Israeli actor Yuval Rappoport (narrator), as well as violin/viola duo Halaf- Langheim, Israeli Opera soloist Larissa Tetuev and pianist Ella Passik. Eddy Lovaglio created the sets and the costumes; Gera Sandler did the staging; and Emilio Gezzi created the arrangements. Members of the Rishon Symphony participate. The second part of the concert features Jewish pieces by Moretti.

The concert takes place at Heichal Hatarbut in Petah Tikva on October 19 at 8:30 p.m., preceded by a lecture in Hebrew and in English on the history of the golem in Jewish folklore (7:30 p.m.).
