The New York-based venture capital fund GC Corp. has acquired the rights to adapt the Israeli TV series Danny Hollywood for American audiences. The deal was made with YES and Teddy Productions on Tuesday, and the reformatted English version will be produced by Killer Films, known for the movies Boys Don't Cry and Far From Heaven. The company, managed by venture capitalists Adi Cohen and Joseph Grinkorn, is also known for Showtime's This American Life. Danny Hollywood, now starting its second season, follows the adventures of journalists who travel back to the 1960s to investigate the mysterious death of popular Israeli pop star Danny Hollywood. The musical show stars Ran Danker, Tal Talmon, Gila Almagor and others.
