Shnayim, the new celebrity-on-celebrity interview series, will feature two first-of-their-kind women on the show's Monday episode. Rana Raslan, the first Arab winner of the Miss Israel pageant, will speak with Niral Karantiji, the recent winner of the second season of The Models, Israel's version of hit reality show America's Next Top Model. Among other issues, the pair is likely to discuss Karantiji's Haifa upbringing and her Muslim family's ambivalent reaction to segments of the show in which the 20-year-old posed in revealing outfits. A successful model following her 1999 Miss Israel victory, Raslan has repeatedly inspired national discussions about beauty and Israeli identity, posing in one ad campaign in a suggestive nurse's uniform emblazoned with a Star of David. Karantiji can now relate: the aspiring model recently shot a photo series in which she wore her own Star of David necklace - this time as an accessory to lingerie and a wedding veil. The interview airs tomorrow at 9:35 p.m. on HOT Bidur, Channel 7 on the HOT cable system.
