Succot selections

Some restaurants will set up a succa for their patrons, while others offer a special menu.

October Fest at the Port – The farmers market in the Tel Aviv Port joined forces with some of the leading local boutique beer breweries to hold the first-ever OctoberFest in time for Succot. The southern corner of the port will turn into a beer garden with lots of ale, music and food stalls. Among the breweries participating are Alexander, Libira, Brehouse and Isra-ale. There will also be workshops and other activities.
Monday-Tuesday, October 17-18 from 5 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., near Hangar 12.
Maraboo – the Israeli chef restaurant offers a full three-course meal for NIS 129 per person. The Succot meal will be served October 13-20 between noon and 5 p.m. and will include a choice of appetizers served in the center of the table, a main dish from a selection, and an array of desserts. Kids will enjoy a special menu of NIS 55.

Orna, of Orna-Bar Cafe in Kfar Saba, invites guests to sit in the succa and enjoy a party meal of salads, pastries and cakes, from NIS 300 for 10 people.

Liliot in Tel Aviv and Liliot-Bistro in Ra’anana invite patrons to sit in their decorated succa and enjoy a cocktail, as well as many specials on top of the regular menu. It is recommended to reserve the succa, which holds up to 20 guests. Smaller succot for 10 people will be available as well.

The Sheraton Hotel in Tel Aviv invites guests to sit in its succa and enjoy special dishes created in the spirit of the holiday. Enjoy such dishes as beet root carpaccio, salmon brule or veal with mushroom, and end with fruit crumble.

And the sweetest of all, Montefiore 7 launches a new breakfast menu for the holiday and offers free meals for grannies with grandchildren who will come to taste the new breakfast today between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. During the rest of the holiday there will be many kids’ activities between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., such as making succa decorations, bingo games and more.
