Nestl has new and very tasty sherbet ice creams in mango and passion fruit flavors containing 30 percent real fruit. The Prili ice creams are Vitamin C enriched and are a refreshing treat in the hot summer weather; a package containing six Prili ice creams is NIS 20.50. Yehiam has a new gourmet pastrami variation containing pieces of walnut, a healthy and tasty addition. The turkey breast with walnut is NIS 25 for 300 gr. Earlier this year, Tivall started marketing a series of pastries made with dough that contains 50% vegetables. Now, for those who want to make their own pastries and pies with this dough, Tivall offers dough with sweet potato and dough with spinach. A 600 gr. package, which you can find in the frozen food department, is NIS 19.95. Sunfrost has new french fries made especially for frying (these fries cannot be prepared in the oven); a 700 gr. bag of the frozen fries is NIS 14. Must is now offering a chewing gum that leaves you with a cool feeling in your mouth. The Must Cooling Effect gums come in four mint variations: mild, classic, strong and extra-strong. One box is NIS 4.30. New from the Efrat wineries is the Cabernet Sauvignon in the Terra series of wines, mostly made from grapes grown exclusively in a specific terroir (a type of vineyard) in the Judean Hills. The Cabernet Sauvignon will go well with a stew or meat; the price for a bottle is NIS 78. Relaxteas are herbal teas that supposedly help alleviate sleep difficulties, calm you down during stressful times (like today) or diffuse tension headaches. The three flavors are Dreamy Night (oat straw, passion flower, catnip, lemon verbena), Serenely (oat straw, passion flower, melissa, lemon verbena) and Harmony (oat straw, melissa, thyme, lemon verbena). Relaxteas are available in select health food stores at NIS 17.50-18 for a box containing 25 tea bags. Miki Delicatessen has a new-and-improved version of Turkish and Greek eggplant salads which are inspired by the authentic varieties offered in the open-air markets of Acre, Haifa or Mahaneh Yehuda in Jerusalem. The Greek eggplant salad is a little spicy; both salads are NIS 7-8 for a 500 gr. container. Supersol has started marketing gourmet fruit packed in boxes of 600 gr. The shape of the small peaches was a little funny, but they tasted delicious. The different fruits in the gourmet series are apricots, peaches and different varieties of plums; each box is NIS 10.
