Considered one of Israel's greatest songwriters, Sasha Argov left a legacy of more than 1,000 songs when he died in 1995. On Friday at the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv, singer/songwriter Matti Caspi, Argov's friend and foremost interpreter, will lead a star-studded lineup in a 10th anniversary memorial tribute. Born in Moscow, Argov started writing during the days of the Palmach and remained active into the 1990s. His songs include "Friendship," "Confession" and "Lullaby". Performers include Edna Goren, Ora Zittner and Kobi Recht, as well as Moshe Beker, Galit Giat and the Orange Quartet. Dan Almagor is the host, and the producers are Raffi Kadishsohn and Argov's sons Itamar and Gabi. The show is at noon.
