Irena Kessler, the principal harp player for the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra-IBA, died on Saturday after a long illness. She served in her role for almost 25 years and played as soloist on many occasions. Kessler won The International Harp Contest in Israel in 1979 and taught at the Jerusalem Academy of Music.
