Forget Celine Dion at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Israeli songstress Rita has announced her own major dramatic production to be staged at Ganei Ha'taruchot (Exhibition Grounds) in Tel Aviv. Rita's new show is called "One". Hanoch Rozen, the director of "One," said at a press conference earlier this week that the show was put together with Las Vegas spectacles in mind. With the financial backing of Cellcom, "One" is being promoted as a one-of-its-kind stage experience for local music fans. Rita will take the stage nightly for one month, beginning July 6. "I've been abroad a number of times and have seen multi-disciplinary shows on one stage. I've always asked myself why we don't do something of that nature here in Israel," Rita said. "It was always a dream of mine to do a big show and now I'm going to work my butt off so that everything comes out amazingly." Rita, who is one of the country's leading singers, will perform songs from her collections over the years during the course of "One". Tickets cost NIS 169-269; Cellcom subscribers receive a 25% discount.
