How did Passover transform from a holiday of commandments to a holiday of design?

Passover has become a time for Israelis to do two important things: buy new items and renovate their homes.

It seems that beyond the traditional engagement with holiday rituals, such as the Seder night and days of leisure, the Israeli public has embraced Passover as the beginning of summer days and a time for refreshing their homes.

Into this growing consumer phenomenon, HaStock networks have stepped up. While these networks were once perceived as providers of basic products at cheap prices, today the picture has completely changed.

For example, the HaStock Network boasts a wide range of products that meet the Israeli need for renewal. On one hand, it offers household items from top brands, and on the other hand, it provides a strong house brand alongside quality home decor items at affordable prices.

Ofer Barak, CEO of HaStock Network, says, "The world of home design is experiencing a revolution, where Israelis seek value for money and not just pay thousands of shekels for luxury brands. This has led to an unprecedented situation in recent years where customers embark on a shopping journey for home design, alongside home designers, particularly in stock networks, saving themselves thousands of shekels. We have learned to adapt ourselves to the change in Israeli consumer demand, which was once scattered in stores in a sporadic manner, and has now become structured complexes where all home design items, including accessories, textiles, cabinets, and the like, are concentrated, along with candlesticks and candle holders."

"Another interesting process happening internally within our network is the change in the perception of service by our employees. While in the past they sought the cheapest and most cost-effective products with the customer, today, after they have wandered around the store with interior designers, they are required to address not only price issues but also the need for design and matching one item with another."

"Like every year, Passover heralds the need for Israelis to purchase new home items, whether it's kitchenware, bathroom accessories, decoration, home design, and more. In the previous generation, many families used existing items for Passover, while in the current generation, there is a preference for purchasing new and separate items, due to the opportunity that the HaStock network allows for quality and economical purchases. Not only that, we found that Israelis buy not only Passover products but also complementary products such as towels, linens, and the like, as well as gifts for hosts during the holiday."

"In terms of consumer approach, the past few years have led us to understand that we need to expand the product catalog for Passover, which includes hundreds of items and enables the consumer to plan smart purchases in their home without feeling lost. The preparation for Passover is already here, we identify movement and high demand, and in an economic period like the one we are currently in, it is recommended to make smart purchases and thus save a lot of money."
