One man was killed and several others were injured in Afghanistan on Friday during protests against plans by a US pastor to burn copies of the Koran on the anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks.
Following Eid al-Fitr prayers in northern Afghanistan, thousands of Muslims took to the streets to demonstrate against Florida Pastor Terry Jones International Burn-a-Koran Day.
