124 have died this year while waiting for organ transplants

The National Center for Organ Transplants announced Tuesday that over 100 sick people have died this past year waiting for organ transplants, a rise of 30 percent compared with the year before, Army Radio reported. Moreover, this year saw a drop in the number of organs available for transplant to its lowest point in three years, and the line for transplants is only growing.
The center called on the general public to save lives and join in become a donor. The last year there 4,500 volunteers.
