Israel's Foreign Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that an Israeli citizen was on an Airbus operated by Lufthansa's Germanwings budget airline that crashed in a remote area of the French Alps earlier in the day. The family has been informed, the ministry said. The man, a 39-year-old businessman from Hod HaSharon, was living in Germany and flying back from Barcelona to Duesseldorf when flight 4U went down with 144 passengers and six crew on board.
