Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman is "killing the peace process," PA President Mahmoud Abbas retorted Wednesday in response to comments made by Liberman a day earlier blaming the Abbas for the failure of the peace process. Abbas also renewed the Palestinan threat to take the issue of statehood to the United Nations.“Liberman’s statements reveal a mentality interested in killing the peace process and fueling conflict and wars,” the PA's official news agency Wafa quoted Abbas's spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh as saying.Abbas, speaking at Al-Najah National University in Nablus, warned of the diplomatic repercussions of a continued stalemate in peace talks with Israel.
