ADL: Jewish immigrants should take Israeli loyalty oath too

Anti-Defamation League director Abraham Foxman said that Israel's proposed amendment to the Citizenship Law should - in the spirit of Israel's founding principles of equality - apply to all immigrants to Israel, including Jews coming under the Law of Return, in a press release on Tuesday.

Foxman added that "many countries around the world, including the United States, require new citizens to take such oaths of allegiance to their new country.
