AG will not look into calls to hide foreign workers' kids

Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein informed Interior Minister Eli Yishai that he decided not to open a criminal investigation into individuals who advocate hiding foreign workers and their children in Israel.
In a letter to Yishai, Weinstein wrote that the statements encouraging the hiding of migrant workers and their children are grave, but are no reason to raise charges of sedition. Weinstein said policy regarding offenses related to freedom of speech is restrained and limited.
Yishai previously asked to open an investigation into Head of the Kibbutz Movement Yoel Marshak's calls to hide the children of foreign workers.
