Israel Police opened an investigation into allegations of rape against a former Israeli soccer player, Channel 13 reported on Sunday night.
A woman who was in a relationship with the player filed a complaint to the police earlier in January, claiming a famous former player sexually assaulted her four and a half years ago.
However, several days after the allegations became public, the woman withdrew her complaint.
Now, police have begun an official investigation into the allegation.
