Nine immigrants injured in bus accident - Aliyah ministry

Aliyah and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata and Director-General Ronen Cohen visited the injured at several hospitals.

Nine recent immigrants to Israel were injured when the bus that was transporting them to their new homes in northern Israel got in an accident on Road 1 on Sunday night, Aliyah and Integration Ministry Spokesman Danny Edino Abba said in a statement.

Aliyah and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata visited the injured at Shamir-Assaf Harofeh and Sheba-Tel Hashomer hospital and directed ministry staff to assist the immigrants.

Staff members will accompany the injured persons throughout the duration of their hospital stay, the statement said.

Aliyah and Integration Ministry Director-General Ronen Cohen visited the wounded people who were sent to Kaplan Hospital.

The ministry "wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded," the statement added.
