Israeli mother accused of locking baby in cage released from custody

The Israeli mother who was accused of locking her 18-month-old baby in a steel cage was released from police custody on Friday morning after the Haifa District prosecutor decided not to press charges against her.

The suspect was initially arrested for false imprisonment, neglect and abuse after police found the child locked up during a drug bust in the suspect's apartment. A large amount of crystal meth was also found near where the baby was being kept.
