B-G airport registers 9% increase in flights over holidays

More than one million people passed through Ben-Gurion Airport during the holidays, representing a 9 percent increase from 2011, according to Israel Airports Authority statistics.
The number of international flights during the time period, between September 14 and October 11, was expected to finish at 7,473 - an 8% rise since the same period in 2011.
The top destinations for tourists were Greece (120,000 entries and exits,) the United States (104,000 entries and exits,) Italy (100,700 entries and exits) and Germany (97,370 entries and exits.)
