BBC: Egypt coverage causing jam from Iran

LONDON — The BBC says its Persian television service is being jammed from within Iran following coverage of the political unrest in Egypt.
The broadcaster says it believes the impact of its rolling news coverage from Egypt has prompted the jamming, which it says began late Thursday.
It added Friday that satellite technicians have traced the interference and have confirmed it is coming from Iran.
Director of the BBC World Service Peter Horrocks said it has received audience feedback showing that Iranians are watching the events in Egypt closely. He said the BBC will continue to broadcast Egyptian news to Iranians.
Friday marks the 32nd anniversary of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution, and protests have been called in the country.
