Berlin's Holocaust memorial damaged by cracks

Officials at Berlin's Holocaust memorial say experts are looking into what has caused cracks in many of its concrete slabs and how to repair them.
German daily Bild reported Tuesday that cold weather in the last two years has caused damage to most of the 2,711 slabs that form the 5-year-old memorial.
A spokeswoman for the memorial near Berlin's Brandenburg Gate wouldn't say how many of the slabs are damaged but says experts are trying to determine whether the cracks are caused by the frigid weather.
