With voting now completed in this divisive US presidential election, President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden are now waiting to see which of them won. Votes continue to be counted, including mail-in ballots.The current projected electoral vote tally stands at Biden with 290 vs. Trump with 214, according to the Associated Press (AP). Candidates need 270 electoral votes to win the presidency.The following is the most up-to-date data on who took which state based upon the projections by the five top US television networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CNN), the AP and Edison Research (in parentheses is the state's number of electoral votes):*All time stamps refer back to Friday, November 6, unless otherwise specified.Alabama (9)With a full consensus being reported by all the major news networks, Trump is the projected winner of Alabama.AP stated that with 99% of polling stations reporting, Trump received 62.5% of the Alabama vote, with Biden (36.4%) winning the remaining votes alongside Libertarian candidate Jo Jorgensen (1.1%).Alaska (3) There is no projected winner for Alaska at the moment, with 50% of the polls reporting so far. Trump is holding 62.1% of the votes while Biden is holding 33.5%. Arizona (11) Biden is the projected winner of the Arizona's 11 electoral votes, with AP and all other major news outlets calling the race on Saturday.With 90% of polling stations reporting as of Saturday, Biden held the lead with 49.5% of the vote, followed closely behind by Trump with 49%.Trump began to inch closer in the popular vote counts, however, Biden held a commanding lead over the Republican president - boasting a differential of 18,713 votes. Thousands of more votes are expected to be counted through the night on Friday.Arizona voters also approved measures to legalize marijuana for recreational use. Arkansas (6) Trump is the projected winner of Arkansas, with a consensus of the television networks and AP projecting the same.Trump is leading with 62.6% of the vote, as 93% of polling stations have reported as of 11:32 a.m. EST.California (55) With 66% reporting, Biden took 65.1% of the California vote versus Trump's 33%.All the major news networks have called the race in California in favor of Biden.The Democratic-leaning state of California is the most populous state and therefore has the most electoral votes with 55, some 17 more than second place Texas. Colorado (9) Biden is the projected winner of Colorado according to AP and major news networks.Some 92% of stations have reported. Biden earned 55.2% of the vote, while Trump took home 42.1%.Colorado voters also rejected a measure to ban abortions after 22 weeks of pregnancy, except those needed to save the life of the mother.Connecticut (7) The projected winner of Connecticut will reportedly be Biden, according to the AP and news outlets.Some 99% of stations have reported for the East Coast state. Biden secured 58.1% of the vote, versus Trump's 40.4%. Delaware (3) Biden took home 58.8% of the vote in Delaware, with 99% of stations reporting.There is also a media consensus that Biden will take the state's three electoral votes as the projected winner. District of Columbia (3) The nation's capital chose to award Biden its three electoral votes, with the Democratic presidential candidate sweeping up the District of Columbia with 93.3% of the total vote.With 83% of polling stations reporting. Trump only holds 5.2% of the vote. Florida (29)A wave of support from Hispanic voters gave Trump a narrow victory in one of the key battleground states of Florida, boosting his chances of reelection. With 99% reporting, Trump holds 51.2% of the vote, while Biden holds 47.9%.Unofficial results on Tuesday night showed Trump was winning about 47% of the Hispanic vote in Florida, increasing his vote share in the county over 2016 by about 12%.That swing denied Biden the votes he needed from South Florida to balance Trump's strength in the state’s mainly rural Panhandle, and win Florida's 29 Electoral College votes.Voters also approved a measure to amend the state constitution to gradually increase its $8.56-per-hour minimum wage to $15.Georgia (16)Biden took a narrow lead over Trump in the battleground state of Georgia for the first time early on Friday, putting the White House within his reach as it and other undecided states continue to count ballots.With the lead, Biden was named the projected winner in Georgia's tight race on Saturday, with 99% of polling stations having reported, Biden took the state by a mere 9,160 votes as of Saturday.No one has yet called the race for the state's 16 electoral votes.According to the AP, the two candidates are neck and neck with Trump holding 49.7% of the vote, and Biden holding the same.While Trump held the rural areas of the southern state, voters from the urban and metropolitan areas of Georgia thrusted Biden into the lead. Hawaii (4) AP is currently reporting Biden as the winner with 63.7% of the vote and 96% of polling stations reporting.Trump captured 34.3% of the Hawaiian vote as of 11:43 a.m. EST. Idaho (4) Trump secured 63.9% of the vote to earn Idaho's four electoral votes, with 99% of polling stations reporting.Biden lost the race for the Northwestern state by 33.8 points. Illinois (20)Biden is the projected winner of Illinois's 20 electoral votes, with 91% of polling stations having reported as of 11:45 a.m. EST.Biden secured 55.16% of the vote, with Trump far behind, earning 42.6%.Indiana (11)With 99% of polling stations reporting, Trump has been declared the projected winner of Indiana by consensus of the national news outlets.Trump secured 57.2% of the vote, followed by Biden's 40.8%. Iowa (6) Trump has been named the projected winner of the heavily white and rural Iowa, securing 53.2% of the vote with nearly all polling stations reporting.Although Biden only secured a few districts throughout the state, he earned 45% of the popular vote. Kansas (6) Trump is heavily projected to win the GOP stronghold of Kansas, securing 56.5% of the popular vote to Biden's 41.3%.With 99% of polling stations reporting, all the major news outlets have given Trump the race in the Midwestern state. Kentucky (8) Trump is projected to win Kentucky by consensus of the major news outlets.Trump has so far secured a 26.9 point margin over Biden (62.6% vs 35.7%), with 98% of polling stations reporting (11:48 a.m. EST). Louisiana (8) The Deep South state of Louisiana is expected to give Trump its eight electoral votes.Trump is currently leading Biden, and has captured 58.5% of the vote with 95% reporting (11:49 a.m. EST).All the major news outlets have named Trump as the projected winner. Maine (4)Biden has been projected as the winner of Maine's first district and its popular vote, worth three electoral votes.However, AP has called for a Trump victory in its second district, giving him one electoral vote due to how the state's electoral votes are allocated.Biden secured 52.9% of the Northeastern state's vote, versus Trump 44.2%. So far 99% have reported as of 11:50 a.m. EST. Maryland (10) The traditionally Democratic-leaning state of Maryland is projected to choose Biden to give its 10 electoral votes to, with 76% reporting.Biden secured 62.9% of the vote to Trump's 35.4%, with the state's mainly urban and densely populated areas surrounding Baltimore and Annapolis choosing to vote for the Democratic candidate as it did in the 2016 elections.Hilary Clinton won the state by a margin of 26.4 points in 2016, while Biden is projected to win by 27.5 points. Massachusetts (11)Massachusetts voters voted blue across the entire state, with each district choosing Biden for president in this year's election.Biden secured 65.6% of the vote, leading Trump who received 32.6% of the vote, with 99% reporting (11:52 a.m. EST). Michigan (16) Biden took Michigan as he took 50.6% of the vote, while Trump took 47.9% with 99% of polling stations reporting (11:52 a.m. EST).Michigan is seen as one of the key battleground states in this year's election, with Biden counting on the Rust Belt states' electoral votes to win the election. Minnesota (10) Biden is currently projected to win Minnesota, according to a consensus by the national media.The former vice president secured 52.6% of the vote over Trump, who won 45.4% of the state's favor.Some 99% of stations have reported in the state (11:56 a.m. EST). Mississippi (6) Trump is heavily projected to take Mississippi, securing 59.7% of the state's vote with 84% reporting.There is also a shared consensus throughout the major news outlets that Trump will earn the state's six electoral votes, as all have projected the Republican president to win the state. Missouri (10) Missouri is expected to hand over its 10 electoral votes toward the reelection of the Republican president.With 99% reporting as of 11:58 a.m. EST, Trump is currently leading by a projected margin of 15.6 points.Biden only secured two districts but gained 41.3% of the popular vote. Montana (3) Trump is projected to win the rural state of Montana in a consensus of the national news networks.The Republican president is currently leading by 16.3 points with 99% of polling stations having reported (11:59 a.m. EST).Nebraska (5)AP is currently reporting Trump as the winner of the state and its first and third districts, worth four electoral votes, with 99% reporting.Biden reportedly won its second district, which is worth one electoral vote due to Nebraska's mixed allocation system. Nevada (6)Nevada is currently undecided, as no stations have reported a projected winner in a tight race.According to the AP, Biden (49.8%) has secured an edge over Trump (48%), with 86% of polling stations reporting (11:42 p.m. EST). The two are currently split by a differential of 22,657 votes.Biden currently needs six electoral votes to be elected into office. With Nevada, he would just reach the threshold of 270. New Hampshire (4) With 99% reporting, Biden is projected to win New Hampshire by almost eight points.All of the major news outlets chose Biden as the projected winner of the small northeastern state.New Jersey (14)Voters in New Jersey have chosen to give its 14 electoral votes to Biden, according to consensus projections.Biden secured 59.5% of the popular vote, with 73% reporting (12:05 p.m. EST). New Jersey residents also passed a referendum legalizing marijuana statewide for adults 21 and over. New Mexico (5)New Mexico is projected to select Biden, giving him its five electoral votes.All the major news outlets project Biden to win the state, with 99% having reported (12:06 p.m. EST).New York (29)Voters of The Empire State will likely select Biden to award its substantial 29 electoral votes to, according to a consensus within the national media. New York has the third most electoral votes, along with Florida.With well over two-thirds of the votes counted, Biden is currently leading Trump by 12.7 points.NY Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez secured her reelection by a landslide with 68.8% of the popular vote.North Carolina (15) With 99% reporting, Trump and Biden are currently locked in a tight race throughout North Carolina.AP states that Trump is currently leading by 1.4 points (5:57 a.m. EST on Sunday), and has refused to call the race, as have all other major media outlets.Trump rallied the rural areas of of the state, while the urban and metropolitan continued to thrust Biden into contention throughout the three days of counting, for the states 15 electoral votes.Biden currently needs six electoral votes to be elected into office. With North Carolina, he would surpass the threshold by nine extra votes. North Dakota (3)Trump secured the border state of North Dakota by a landslide, with 99% reporting.Trump has earned 65.5% of the popular vote, leading Biden by 33.6 points. Ohio (18) Trump is expected to win Ohio's 18 electoral votes, according to current projections.The AP states that Trump secured 53.4% of the popular vote, with 96% reporting (12:11 p.m. EST).All the major television networks have called it for the president as well.Oklahoma (7) History is seeming to repeat itself as Trump seems to have secured 65.4% of Oklahoma's popular vote, leading Biden by 33.1 points.In 2016, Trump beat Clinton to take home the GOP stronghold by a margin of 36 points. Oregon (7) Biden is expected to win Oregon as he is currently leading the race by 16.5 points, with 91% reporting (12:12 p.m. EST).The five major television stations have also called it for Biden. Pennsylvania (20) Biden's victory in the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania put him over the threshold of 270 Electoral College votes he needed to clinch the presidency, ending four days of nail-biting suspense in a deeply divided country.Biden expanded his narrow lead over Trump in the Keystone State on Friday - a lead which he held onto until the very end.On election night, Trump was well ahead in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia. This occurred because election day votes were strongly Republican, and much of the mail-in votes in those states had not been counted. With the inclusion of mail-ins, Biden won Wisconsin by 0.6% and Michigan by 2.6%.AP states that Biden captured a 0.6 point win over Trump to take Pennsylvania, split by a differential of 41,223 votes.Many of the rural areas chose to vote for Trump, while the areas surround Philadelphia and Pittsburgh decided to vote Democrat.The bulk of the votes left to be counted on Friday were mainly within the Democratic-leaning metropolitan area of Philadelphia, where Biden strengthened his lead on the Republican president. Rhode Island (4)According to media consensus, Rhode Island's four electoral votes will go towards Biden's presidency bid.Biden captured 59.4% of the vote and leads Trump by 20.2 points, with 96% reporting (12:18 p.m. EST).South Carolina (9)Trump is currently projected to win South Carolina, with 94% reporting (12:18 p.m. EST).Trump currently has an 11.6 point lead over the Democratic candidate, earning 55.1% of the vote for the state's nine electoral votes.South Dakota (3) South Dakota's three electoral votes are projected to go to Trump, according to media consensus.The AP states that Trump is currently winning by 26.2 points, with 94% of polling stations reporting (12:21 p.m. EST).Tennessee (11) Trump is heavily projected to win Tennessee, with 97% reporting (12:21 p.m. EST).Trump secured 60.7% of the popular vote to Biden's 37.4%.Biden did, however, win the districts surrounding the major cities of Nashville and Memphis, with mainly the rural areas voting for the Republican president. Texas (38)All of the major news outlets have projected Trump as the winner of the key battleground state of Texas.The substantial 38 electoral votes – second most in the country after California – will go toward Trump's reelection, after he secured the state by a projected 5.8 point margin.Although major cities, such as Houston, Austin, Dallas and San Antonio, as well as border cities like El Paso, all voted for Biden, rural areas mainly voted for the Republican president, as has been the trend. Utah (6)National media outlets place Trump as Utah's projected winner, with 83% reporting (12:22 p.m. EST).Trump secured 58.7% of the vote, leading Biden by over 20 points.Vermont (3)Biden is heavily projected to win Vermont's three electoral votes, according to national media consensus.He is currently leading Trump by a landslide margin of over 35 points (12:23 p.m. EST). Virginia (13)Virginia is projected to give its 13 electoral votes to Biden. Some 99% of polling stations have reported as of 12:23 a.m. EST.AP has Biden leading the vote with 54% of the popular vote. All of the major news outlets have projected him to take the state as well. Washington (12)By national media consensus, Biden is projected to win Washington state.He is currently leading the Republican president by 21.5 points, with 85% of polling stations have reported as of 12:25 p.m. EST. West Virginia (5)Trump is expected to win the Mountain State of West Virginia, another GOP stronghold that generally votes red as it did again this year, even within the college town of Morgantown.Trump is currently leading the race in West Virginia by over 39 points – one of the largest margins state-by-state.Some 99% of polling stations have reported as of 12:26 p.m. EST. Wisconsin (10) AP officially called a Biden victory in the hotly contested state of Wisconsin, followed closely behind the five other major US news outlets - gifting its 10 electoral votes to the election of the former vice president.However, as far as the vote counts go, Biden only leads the Republican president by a margin of 0.7 points - placing the candidates in a tighter race than projected or expected.Trump's campaign has said it would immediately contest the results and demand a recount. Wyoming (3) Trump seemed to secure his largest marginal win state-by-state in the landlocked rural state of Wyoming.Trump secured 70.4% of the popular vote to Biden's 26.7% - a margin of 43.7 points.
