Bill Keller steps down as NYT editor

Bill Keller, the executive editor of The New York Times,  has stepped down from his post to become a full-time writer for the paper, The New York Times reported Thursday.
Jill Abramson, the Times' managing editor and former Washington bureau chief, has been tapped as Keller's replacement.
