Blast injures and kills Pakistanis en route to Al-Quds Day

At least one person was killed and over a dozen were injured as an explosion rocked a bus of protesters on their way to an Al-Quds Day protest in Karachi, according to Pakistani media reports Friday.
Al-Quds Day is an annual event founded by Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979, and it is observed in many countries throughout the Muslim world to demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
One report claimed that it was still unclear whether or not the blast was intentional, as it may have been caused by an exploding fuel cylinder.  However, The Express Tribune, an internationally-affiliated Pakistani newspaper, stated that many of the wounded had been pierced by ball bearings, which would suggest that this was a deliberate attack designed to cause maximum casualties.
