Bnei Brak: Police arrest Palestinian youth alleged to have carried knife

Police on Wednesday announced that they had arrested a Palestinian youth for alleged possession of a knife found wandering in Bnei Brak earlier this week.

The suspect, a 17-year-old from the West Bank, was accosted by security forces who grew suspicious of him as he made his way to Bnei Brak from Geha junction, just off Route 4.

During a search, a knife was found in his possession, according to police.

The suspect told interrogators that he had no intention of carrying out an attack. He claimed that he was in the area to look for work.

Police decided to seek an indictment against the youth after determining that his alibi was not credible.
