Hezbollah faces a major US-led confrontation, the terror group’s leader, Secretary-General Naim Qassem, stated in a message to wounded Hezbollah fighters on Saturday, shared by the terror group's official media channels.
"We are facing a major confrontation, led by the American tyrant with a desperate Western force and savage Zionist aggression," Qassem stated.
"The resistance fighters [Hezbollah] stopped 75,000 enemy Israeli soldiers at the outskirts of pure southern Lebanon, and our people returned to the land at the moment of the ceasefire to protect it with their bodies, their faith, and their steadfastness," he claimed.
Noting that he was speaking to wounded terrorists, he commented that they will "recover from your wounds because you are people of faith and truth."
"As long as we remain on the path of Karbala, Hussein [a grandson of Mohammed], and the line of Hezbollah, we are always victorious," he affirmed, referencing a core founding moment in Shia history.
He cited a supposed quote from Hassan, another grandson of Mohammed, who supposedly said that "When we achieve victory, we are victorious, and when we are martyred, we are also victorious."
Qassem praises terrorists injured by Mossad's pagers operation
"Greetings to the wounded, you who raised our heads high, especially the pager wounded [referring to the successful Mossad pagers operation]," he said.
"The greatest greetings are to our guardian, Imam Khamenei, the leader of this divine march toward achieving its goals," praising Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Iranian regime is the main backer of Hezbollah's terror organization.
