Border patrol, IDF soldier indicted for allegedly robbing foreign workers

The Justice Ministry internal affairs department on Monday filed an indictment with the Lod District Court against two border patrol members and an IDF soldier for allegedly handcuffing Eritrean and Chinese construction workers in order to steal from them.
An earlier ministry statement said that the three were suspected of a series of armed robberies against such foreign workers.The statement had said that the three were suspected of approaching an as yet unidentified construction site, handcuffing the workers as gun point and stealing their money and property.
The indictment also included charges for obstruction of justice and illegal possession of a weapon, while a gag order remained on the defendants identities.
