British man held captive in Libya released

A British man held captive in Libya since May has been released, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office in London on Saturday.
David Bolam, who worked as a teacher in Benghazi, has reunited with his family and is "safe and well after his ordeal."A jihadist militant group had posted a video of Bolam online on August 28, in which the Briton pleads with UK leaders for his release.
"The family have asked for privacy," the Foreign Office in London said of the release, declining to comment further "on the detail of hostage cases."
