The University of Cairo canceled a student panel for Nasserist presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabahi at the last minute, Egyptian newspaper
Al Shorouk's website reported Monday.
The university's decision came despite the lifting of a ban on campaigning in Egyptian schools, according to the report. The university's president made the decision on Sunday less than 24 hours before the conference with Sabahi was supposed to take place.
