Charity provides Passover food packages for sick

The Our Project charity donated hundreds of food packages worth over NIS 600,000 to the sick for the Passover holiday, as it does every year, buying, packing and delivering vital holiday supplies to almost 300 families around Jerusalem.

Our Project was founded 12 years ago and distributes food every Rosh Hashana and Passover to families where one of the income providers is sick or has to care for their parents, siblings, children, or other close family members.

A small army of volunteers helped assemble the packages last week, including meat, chicken, fish, vegetables, matzot wine, and other holiday essentials, and they were then distributed individually to the recipient families.

Dov Engel, one of the Our Project organizers, said that the central idea was to ensure those who are sick, unable to bring in an income or are caring for unwell family members are able to have a full and rich holiday experience and feel that there are people caring for them.
