Likud MK Moshe Feiglin will be punished for suspending his parliamentary activity to protest Prime Minister Binyamin Netanytahu preventing him from visiting the Temple Mount.
After Netanyahu and Attorney-general Yehuda Weinstein ordered police to prevent Feiglin from ascending the Mount on Sunday, Feiglin said he would temporarily not see himself as part of the prime minister's governing coalition.
He did not vote with the coalition this week. In response, coalition chairman Yariv Levin said he would limit Feiglin's right to submit bills and take other disciplinary measures.
Feiglin responded that the Knesset was irrelevant if the Muslim Wakf was treated as the sovereign in Judaism's holiest site.
