Deputy FinMin calls Haredim 'parasites', apologizes

The haredi public was outraged Wednesday after Deputy Finance Minister Mickey Levy (Yesh Atid) said the ulta-Orthodox can not act as "parasites" on the public, Israel Radio reported.
Levy immediately apologized during a radio interview on "Kol Barama" - Sound Level -, but added that the haredim can't continue to depend financially on the shoulder of Israel taxpayers.
MK Eli Yishai (Shas) responded to Levy's comments stating the remarks said in Israel today, resemble those said in Germany in 1942.
