Kadima MK Avi Dichter said on Monday that Turkey could not act as a mediator between Israel and other Muslim countries, in particular Syria.
Speaking to Israel Radio, Dichter expressed concern that due to the increasingly Islamic platform of Ankara's ruling party, Turkish leaders would not be able to objectively head peacemaking processes in the region.
He said, however, that Turkey could continue to assist negotiations despite playing a less central role.
