Education ministry sets new matriculation guidelines

Over the past two weeks, four matriculation question booklets have been leaked onto social media prior to the start of the exam. This prompted a change in the distribution procedure of mailing the booklets, as of the next test on May 18.
The new guidelines state that students taking an exam will enter the classroom 45 minutes before it starts, ensuring they are seated properly with access only to materials they can use during the examination period. At the same time, 45 minutes in advance, the Education Ministry will send the questions to all schools electronically. An appointed school representative will be in charge of distributing them to the students.
Schools will be responsible for ensuring they have the proper facilities to print and copy the exams. The ministry hopes this will eliminate the possibility of leaks, as the booklets will no longer be sitting in local post offices awaiting distribution.
