Emile Grunzweig's killer: 'Thanks to me the Left is gone'

Six months after his release from prison, the man who threw a hand grenade into a crowd of "Peace Now" demonstrators in 1993 said, "Thanks to me, the Israeli Left has disappeared."
"My name is written in the pages of history. There is no more 'Peace Now'. He continued, "People want to kiss both my hands, the one that pulled the pin and the one that threw the grenade."
Avrushmi made these controversial statements in an interview with the weekend edition of the daily Ma'ariv newspaper.
Yonah Avrushmi served 27 years in prison for killing one man, Emile Grunzweig, and injuring nine others when he threw a hand grenade into a crowd of "Peace Now" demonstrators outside the Prime Minister's office in 1993.
