Families of fallen IDF soldiers, military brass and government officials on Tuesday attended a state ceremony marking 36 years since the Yom Kippur War. IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat, Deputy Defense Minister Matan Vilna'i, and both chief rabbis attended the ceremony, held at Jerusalem's Mount Herzl.
