Girl, 6, dies month after near drowning in Jerusalem pool

The six-year old girl who almost drowned last month in a swimming pool at the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem died Wednesday after repeated efforts to save her life.

Last week, she was transferred to Shaare Zedek Medical Center's Reut rehabilitation center in Tel Aviv for continuing treatment, but remained unconscious and required a ventilator to breathe.

Early on Wednesday morning, however, the girl's health took a turn for the worse and she passed on.
