Givati battalion commander under investigation takes leave of absence

A Givati battalion commander has taken a leave of absence after coming under investigation over suspicions of sexual harassment and indecent acts against two female soldiers under his command.
The commander is also suspected of disrupting the course of the investigation, which has also involved other officers in the Givati infantry brigade.
The IDF Spokesman Unit said that the investigation is still ongoing, and that the Southern Command chief has accepted the battalion commander's request to take a leave of absence at this stage.
