Adina Bar-Shalom, the daughter of Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, released her list for those running in her Achi Israeli party on Sunday, according to Arutz Sheva.
Bar-Shalom, who made waves founding the first college for Haredi students in Jerusalem, made five of the top ten on her list, women.
"Achi Israeli, list represents all the sectors that make up the fascinating mosaic of Israeli society." Bar-Shalom said. "Religious, ultra-Orthodox and secular, women and men, Mizrahim and Ashkenazim, Jews and minorities.
The second on the list was Maj. Gen. (res.) Gideon Sheffer, who served as vice president of Elbit Systems. Another notable name was Brig. Gen. (res.) Ruth Malki Yaron, former IDF Spokesperson.
Bar-Shalom’s father famously ruled that under Jewish law it would be acceptable to give up parts of the Land of Israel in return for a peace accord with the Palestinians if it would stop bloodshed and save lives.
