The High Court of Justice on Tuesday permitted a first live audio broadcast of one of its proceedings as part of a pilot program to increase transparency and public faith in the courts.
A seven justice panel heard oral arguments over to what extent criminal manslaughter could be imposed on a defendant in the context of the death of an individual during a non-authorized car race.
It was unclear how the courts would proceed with further live audio broadcasts following the pilot broadcast.
